What happens when you’ve played your heart out and it looks like you lost the *game?*
It hurts.
It angers.
It stuns – and shocks.
It bitterly disappoints.
It causes grief and sorrow.
It can set us up for despair.
And, it is not true.
It is not possible to stand on the word of the Lord, to play your heart out, and to lose.
Personally and with high stakes, I’ve faced this type situation before – where we played our hearts out, were “all in,” and the opposite happened.
I remember the late prophet Kim Clement saying when you receive a word from the Lord, “that’s your last comfortable moment.”
Because the word of the Lord is opposed.
For now:
I pray that the comfort of our Good Shepherd holds you, steadies you and strengthens you. I pray for grace to face what you feel – and then for faith and courage to rise up in you through Holy Spirit:
– to find a solid place to stand (Christ, the solid rock)
– to NOT look down (imagine all horrible outcomes)
– to keep climbing UP
in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ, amen.
Replenish your hope, here with Hope, a Meditation Prayer.
P.S. This is not an afterthought *PS.* I had a dream on Election Day in the USA that a major intercessor asked a prophetic lady what was needed for a post. The Intercessor, upon asking, realized that NO NEW post was needed. The prophetic word stood: Victory.
